Dear all,

This is a formal announcement that REGION55 will be shutting down on December
19th 2008.

There is no technical need nor justification to keep it going as the primary
reason for its existence is not there anymore.

Over the last years I have asked R55-nodes to migrate to their true
geographical area. It seems none complied with the request.

NET550, on Dec 19th 2008, will migrate in its entirity to R50 and will formally
enjoy P4-status under the jurisdiction of a new to be appointed NC550 and the
RC50. Who the NC550 will be is none of my concern.

RC50 eventually will migrate all NET550-members in their respective true
geographical nets upon which NET550 will disappear from the nodelist. Achieving
this reshuffling will be way easier when it can be done in a Russian-language
environment.

Non R50-nodes will have to be accomodated in their true region, I'd hate to
permanently see e.g. Ukrainian-nodes show-up in R50-colours.

Questions anyone?
